Artist's Comments

I really enjoy drawing Justine's hair.

This only took a couple hours.

I NEED UR LOVE SQUEEEZINNS!

98% of Deviants don't know the difference between "your" and "you're." If you're one of the 2% that wants to punch 'em, put this in your sig.

=D Thanks for the fav! Man, yeah, I've been drawing it non-stop - this is addictive hair. I guess it's only appropriate, then, that her ~special ability~ is hair-related.

mmm I like the warm soft palette and golden highlights in her hair~
You're one of the people I've been referencing lately when I'm trying to do digital painting :XD:

(x well, I hope it's helpful! (I loved your wingy boy painting recently - so cute.)

I think this is your best portrait yet Amy.
I agree with the hair love comments. Your colour choices give the hair a lot of dimension. Aaaand no matter how much I study your work, I can not colour like that. =_'=

Come to Ireland and watch over my shoulder as I do it? In these ones I've been working ~up~ from a base of a dark colour, and then once I get past medium tones and into highlights I use layers in colour dodge and screen. (Colour dodge is good for high-saturation bright colours; screen is good for shiny white spots).

She has a pocket dimension in her hair. c:

I really love her design, from her distinctive hair to the shape of her face (your character art has such life and variety), and the warm colors here are beautiful.

She keeps looking kind of like the chick in those twilight movies when I do her in my sketchbook... it's definitely not intentional, it's just what happened when I combined a long face, a roundy nose, and big lips with all that hair.
