Artist's Comments

Ummm. Nicole made me want to draw this after her orange and pink thing. I wasn't intentionally going for a same/similar colour scheme, though. This is just sort of what cropped up.

also, I'm trying something new for texturing in painting? Like, you know, little triangles of colour sort of thing instead of all smoothed and blended. Dunno if it worked well or not.

The texturing turned out great! It still looks nice and smooth when you take in the picture as a whole, then if you look closer you can see all the interesting shapes the different colors make. :3

IT WORKED VERY WELL. And aw hello to you too. You are amazing. I like what you did with his stubble and his filtrum, particularly.

You have such a lovely sense of colour. I like the painting technique--aside from working VERY WELL, as mentioned, it makes it look sort of like a tissue paper collage.

I think I'll be trying it again - usually the more you do stuff the better it gets.

Filtrum! Yay.

My sense of colour! Your sense of colour is great. Mine is so boring. I'm working on it, though.

I'm not! Your colouring is so juicy and full of many colours.

I really like his hair. XD

Painting with the triangles of colors looks really cool. Personally, I wouldn't know how to go about doing it!

I shade in my colours and then instead of blending everything flat and smooth I find the natural triangles and spots of similar colour and blend them in within themselves, so I don't end up with a rounded gradient but more a lot of ungradient patches. x)
